Hotel Gananan is a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast buffet was nice. The pool was a disappointment. We had looked forward to relaxing by the pool, but it was so dirty it was impossible to use. There are no chairs or tables around the pool for relaxing and enjoying the weather.

It is a decent hotel but not a 3 star as claimed, and overpriced for the service, rooms were neat but you will feel like you are seeping in the middle of a busy street, after a long drive you need peaceful sleep to continue your journey but the noises from outside, (bus horns, autos, engine sounds) will make it difficult for you to sleep and hotel staff not ready to change your room to the other side, not ready to give one extra complimentary water bottle, (no hotel has refused so far), customer service level is not to the mark, Welcoming with smile and wishing is the only service they know Breakfast is very limited only south Indian and some breads, even egg not available, but it was tasty, it is a decent hotel but over priced and not 3 star as shown in the web sites, if you plan to stay insist for rooms on the back or be ready to sacrifice your sleep,

We people have stayed in many 3 star 4 star and 5 star hotels All we expect is respect for the guest and customer service HOTEL GNANAM IS UNFIT TO RUN BUSINESS Very bad experience. Fraudulent staff which do not honor online booking and scam customers. I had done a booking on Booking.Com and booked for 2 deluxe double rooms for two adults and 2 children aged 14 and 11. The ages were clearly mentioned in booking.com. When my mother decided to join us, I tried making a new booking for the same number of rooms but with added adult. The prices did not show any change as we were booking for 2 deluxe double rooms anyway and the booking clearly showed two children stay for free. I decided to continue with the current booking since no hotel has ever made a fuss about children staying in the room and room was anyway a deluxe double room. The reception manager refused to honor the booking and demanded we pay rack rates. As per the manager any child over 10 years old will be considered as an adult and an extra rate will be charged for occupancy of the room. This despite my booking clearly showing a double room with 2 adults and 2 children. I offered to pay for the additional adult but the manager was not ready to accept anything less than thr rack rates as the room charge. Ultimately ended up jacking the room rent by 40%. Had no option but to pay after driving for more than 8 plus hours. If you are booking online make it very clear to the hotel via email or via chat the number of occupants and their age and get a proof that they are ready to honor the online prices. The food served by the restaurant is excellent espy the buffet breakfast. However the lunch and dinner sessions are a comedy of errors. Be prepared to wait atleast for 2 hours before they serve you your order. Many customers were seen walking out exasperated without even paying their bills because of this delay over more than an hour between courses. My mother ordered a jain preparation of dal fry without garlic.we waited for over 1.5 hours for the food to be served only to find the dish teeming with garlic. To add insult to injury, the chef merely removed the garlic from the dish and sent it back as a fresh preparation with a dollop of butter to hide the taste of garlic. Extremely unethical on their part to hurt the religious sentiments of customers. We just left the dish and paid for it since we didn't want to create another issue out of it. The manager of the hotel is extremely inconsiderate feeding on hapless customers knowing very well they would rather pay than search for room after a long drive. Great location, neat clean and spacious rooms but pathetic management.
